“I’ve had so many great times at this fantastic awards extravaganza, and I’ll always be excited to hang with da kiddies!!” Sandler said in a statement to Variety “Love to all!!!” he concluded.

Previous awards

His previous awards at the Kids Choice Awards are for both the actor’s voiceover work in animation and acting roles in comedies. Together Sandler’s films have grossed more than $3 billion worldwide.

Some of his most successful films include, ‘Grown Ups,’ ‘Big Daddy,’ ‘The Longest Yard,’ ‘Waterboy,’ and ‘Hotel Transylvania.’ His most recent role is in the 2022 American sports comedy-drama film ‘Hustle.’

His role as an NBA scout in this film earned him his first Screen Actors Guild Award nomination.

What’s different this year for KCA?

The 2023 annual Kid’s Choice Awards will be hosted by CBS Mornings’ Nate Burleson and Internet Influencer Charli D’Amelio. It will be live-streamed on Nick.com and the Nick app. This year’s award show is set to be different than previous years.

“Kids’ Choice Awards this year is unique in that we’ve replaced the straightforward awards show formula with a magic-infused journey that leads the audience, our hosts Charli and Nate, and all our honorees on a trip through tech-enhanced performances, surreal set pieces, and of course, tons of slime,” said Paul J. Medford, Nickelodeon vice president of unscripted current series and executive producer of the KCAs said.

“It’s definitely the alternate universe version of an awards show, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it,” Medford concludes.
