Addison Timlin changes Instagram caption from ‘single mom’ to ‘co-parent’ after backlash

Jeremy Allen White and soon to be ex-wife Addison Timlin met when they were in their teens, on the set of ‘Shameless’.

However, the ‘Californication’ star revealed that the couple split by captioning a post on Instagram as “being a single mom is hard”.

She recently changed that wording after negative comments from fans, who told her that White will likely still be supporting the children, which isn’t exactly being a single mother.

“There is a difference between being a single mom and being a mom that is single,” commented one follower.

“Calling yourself a single mom acting like he isn’t in the picture whether you guys are or aren’t together is childish,” wrote another.

“Co-parent is not how I pictured it,” Timlin wrote in a post. “It is so f***ing hard. It is all out covered in shit crying on the floor kick you in the shins screaming with no sound coming out hard. Its not the natural order of things.”

It seems Addison took a few digs at ‘The Bear’ star, Jeremy, as it’s likely she’s not too happy to be carrying the responsibilities of motherhood without her husband by her side.

News of the split

“It can be exhausting but more than anything it can just be so lonely. When something magical happens and you have to tell yourself “don’t forget this” because theres no witness by your side. It’s so painful. But just like everything with motherhood the lows are demolished by the staggering heights,” Timlin wrote.

The reasons the couple split still remain unclear, as they were married for over three years and knew each other for many years before that. They share two daughters, Ezer age four, and Dolores age two.

“Single mom is a bit of a stretch, my dear. He’s going to keep paying, working, and supporting those kids,” another follower wrote. “You’re just single and a complete overshare on social.”

White has yet to comment on the post.
