Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, and professional tennis player, Serena Williams, have been married since 2017. They share one daughter together, Olympia, 5.

After making an appearance at the Met Gala last week, Williams showed off her baby bump, confirming that the couple are expecting baby number two.

“It’s official,” Ohanian said on ‘Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?’. “It’s official, Chris, big reveal.”

When Wallance asked if they knew whether the baby would be a boy or a girl, Ohanian said, “We don’t.”

“I’m convinced I’m gonna be a girl dad. So even if we have you know, 50 more kids they’re all going to be girls.”

Telling Olympia the news

Williams shared a video to her Instagram in which she and Ohanian tell their daughter Olympia that she is going to be a big sister.

“Olympia does not know right now that I am pregnant, so the big reveal will be at the Met, and then before we leave, I’ll tell Olympia,” Williams said in the video.

“The reason I haven’t told her is because she can’t keep a secret.”

Williams on having kids

Last year, Williams told Vogue Magazine that she plans to step away from tennis and her career to focus on raising a family. The 41-year-old explained that when she started her career, she “never thought about having kids.”

“There were times when I’ve wondered if I should ever bring kids into this world, with all its problems,” Williams said. “I was never that confident or comfortable around babies or children, and I figured that if I ever did have a baby, I would have people taking care of it 24/7.”

The professional tennis player also values being a hands-on mother with Olympia.

“In five years, Olympia has only spent one 24-hour period away from me,” she said. “This past year, while I was recovering from a hamstring injury, I got to pick her up from school four or five days a week, and I always looked forward to seeing her face light up when she walked out of the building and saw me waiting there for her.”

“The fact is that nothing is a sacrifice for me when it comes to Olympia.”
