Ana de Armas is set to make her Saturday Night Live hosting debut on April 15, in support of her new Apple TV+  series ‘Ghosted’, premiering April 21.

Joining her as musical guest is Colombian reggaeton star Karol G, who will be performing songs from her recently released album ‘Mañana Será Bonito’, which became the first all-Spanish album by a woman to reach the number-one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

Upcoming April hosts

Upcoming April hosts for Saturday Night Live also include Quinta Brunson, who is hosting the April 1 show, which also marks her hosting debut. Her musical guest will be rapper Lil Yachty.

Later in the month, Molly Shannon will be returning to host the show for a second time on April 8, with musical guest The Jonas Brothers. Shannon was previously a cast member on the late-night show between 1995 and 2001.

Shannon can be seen in the latest Zach Braff-directed film ‘A Good Person’, also starring Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman. Shannon’s HBO Max comedy series ‘The Other Two’ will return for season three on May 4.

Saturday Night Live crew ratifies union contract

The news of upcoming hosts comes just as the show narrowly avoided having its post-production crew go on strike.  The crew was able to ratify their first-ever union contract, which gave the crew immediate pay boosts and healthcare benefits. The union had originally set a deadline for April 1.

“The solidarity and bravery of this crew are just so impressive,” said Cathy Repola, the National Executive Director of the Editors Guild.

“They fought not just to improve their own working lives; they have also set a standard that will benefit all those who follow in their footsteps at this TV comedy institution.

The post-production crew are the ones who make the pre-taped sketches that air during live episodes of Saturday Night Live. These include ‘Let Kids Drink’ a fake infomercial advocating for children to drink, and the ‘Mario Kart HBO Trailer’ starring Pedro Pascal.

The show will return following a two-week break on Saturday, April 1, at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and streaming on Peacock.
