The Devil Wears Prada 2 has dominated with its second trailer, entering the top 10 most-watched trailers in history within 24 hours, a ranking largely ruled by superhero films.
It appears that general audiences are eager to see Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway together again, nearly 20 years after their previous collaboration in The Devil Wears Prada. The second trailer for The Devil Wears Prada 2, released just three days ago as the sequel to the beloved 2006 comedy-drama, has broken records with 222 million views in its first 24 hours.
As a result, the new trailer has entered the top 10 most-watched trailers of all time within a single day, a list dominated by superhero blockbusters. There is more.

The second trailer has already become the most-watched trailer in the history of 20th Century Studios across all of the studio’s distribution channels. In total, the new preview, starring Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt, reached 222 million views during its first 24 hours. This follows the first trailer released last November, which also achieved impressive numbers with more than 181 million views, making it the most-watched trailer ever for a comedy film.
Thanks to this second trailer, The Devil Wears Prada 2 now joins the ranking of the ten most-watched trailers in history during their first 24 hours. The list is dominated by superhero films, including several titles from Marvel Studios and one from DC Studios, and also features blockbusters such as Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and The Lion King.
It remains to be seen whether the strong anticipation for The Devil Wears Prada 2 will translate into global box office success when the film premieres in theaters on April 30.
