Amanda Bynes’ parents are said to be concerned about their daughter’s well-being after her recent health ordeal.

The 36-year-old made headlines when she was placed on a psychiatric hold after she was found roaming the streets of Los Angeles naked on Sunday.

Bynes was previously placed in a conservatorship from 2013 to 2022. While TMZ reports that Bynes’ parents, Lynn and Rick, aren’t considering another conservatorship, the episode has set off alarm bells.

Prior to the incident, Amanda had been living by herself and attending cosmetology classes, with a source telling the outlet they believe Sunday’s episode was an “anomaly”.

Bynes’ parents were also encouraged by the fact Amanda was aware enough to know she was in trouble and flag down a car for help.

However, her ex-fiancé Paul Michael told Page Six that Bynes was off her meds in the days leading up to the incident.

“She got off her meds, and she’s still off her meds,” alleged Michael. “She’s wild.”

Bynes cancelled a pubic appearance over the weekend

The incident happened after Bynes was scheduled to reunite with the cast of ‘All That’ at the ‘90s Con on Saturday. She starred on the sketch comedy show from 1996 to 2000.

She spoke about her excitement at reuniting with her former Nickelodeon castmates in the leadup to the event.

“I’m really excited to reunite with my cast mates and meet the fans at ‘90s Con,” she told People back in January.

It would have been Bynes’ first public appearance since the end of her conservatorship in March 2022.

Bynes’ conservatorship

She was placed in a temporary conservatorship back in 2013 when it was alleged she set a small fire in a neighbor’s driveway near her parents home.

Her mother, Lynn, was later made her conservator in October 2014.

In February 2022, Bynes filed to have her conservatorship ended, with her parents’ attorney stating they supported the decision. The conservatorship was later terminated on March 22, 2022.

“The court finds that petitioner has provided facts that the conservatorship is no longer needed or required, therefore the petition for termination is granted,” said Ventura County Judge Roger Lund at the hearing.
