Are Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg lining up “the biggest fight in history”?

The UFC president has hinted at a possible physical battle between the Tesla CEO and the Facebook founder but could it really happen?

What started as a joke could come true. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has challenged Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to a mixed martial arts cage fight, and negotiations have begun to make the match a reality, if you believe what is UFC President Dana White has been saying in an interview with TMZ Sports.

White said he contacted the two billionaires and that the first to knock on the door was Zuckerberg, who asked “are you really serious?” The president of the mixed martial arts company approached Musk, who also appeared to confirm his intention to fight.

Musk vs Zuckerberg: ”best fight ever”

Although it’s not a reality yet, White couldn’t help but get excited at the thought of a matchup between the two billionaires, swapping money generation for mixed martial arts.

“This would be the biggest fight in the history of the world, bigger than anything that’s ever been done,” White said. “It would break all pay-per-view records.”

The challenge of the fight came after it was revealed that Zuckerberg’s technology team is designing a new program that can compete with Twitter, a company recently acquired by the Tesla founder.

Out of interest, the biggest fight in pay-per view history to date was Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor in 2017, which grossed over $600 million. Despite this, the UFC president believes that the men behind Tesla and Facebook “can triple what Mayweather and McGregor have done.”
