Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez divorce details revealed
Pop superstar Grande and real estate agent Gomez announced their break-up in July and have now filed for divorce.
After revealing that Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez had split in July this year, TMZ has now reported that the “Thank U, Next” singer officially filed for divorce on Monday 18 September. According to Laura Wasser, the 30-year-old singer’s lawyer, “irreconcilable differences” were cited as the reason for the separation. TMZ say real estate agent Gomez filed his own divorce papers almost simultaneously.
When did Ariana and Dalton separate?
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the petition cites 20 February 2023 as the date of the couple’s separation, almost five months before their split became public knowledge.
A source close to the pair revealed that, before moving forward with the paperwork, they had met to ensure their separation was “resolved amicably” and to “really go over the details”. This is thought to be the reason for the lengthy delay between the date of separation and the divorce filings.
Did the couple have a prenup?
The same insider claimed both had been “really caring and respectful of one another in every step of this process”, which resulted in things being worked out before going to the courthouse. In addition, it has been claimed that Ariana will simply write Dalton a check, although the amount has not been disclosed. The signing of a prenuptial agreement has also been confirmed.
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez’s relationship timeline
Grande and Gomez first got together in January 2020, although it wasn’t until May that year their romance became public knowledge after they both appeared in the music video for “Stuck With U”, a duet between Grande and Justin Bieber.
After spending almost a year in quarantine due to the covid-19 pandemic, the couple got engaged in December 2020 and they married at a private ceremony in May 2021.

A little over two years later, Dalton’s current relationship status is unknown, but Ariana has started dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, who himself filed for divorce from his ex-wife just a couple of months ago.
