The Puerto Rican artist is releasing a new single with the Mexican group.

A new Bad Bunny single is set to be released on Monday, and this time the Puerto Rican artist will be teaming up with Mexican regional band, Grupo Frontera.

The ‘Me Porto Bonito’ artist announced the new single on his Instagram stories with the caption “New song tomorrow with my friends @grupofrontera’ translated from Spanish.

He also posted a TikTok, lip-syncing and dancing to the new song.

Fans’ reaction to the news

The news saw fans taking to social media to express both their surprise and excitement at Bad Bunny’s second venture into regional Mexican music.

He previously joined regional Mexican artist and rapper Natanael Cano in a remix of his song ‘Soy El Diablo’ in 2020.

“Bad Bunny ? And grupo frontera ? bro what,” said one fan.

“The most random thing I saw today was the collaboration between bad bunny and grupo frontera,” another tweeted in Spanish.

“The new song by Bad bunny and grupo frontera is going to be my new addiction this month,” someone else chimed in.

Other fans seemed less than impressed. Many fans have voiced their disappointment at the ongoing rumors that Bad Bunny is dating Kardashian family member, Kendall Jenner, and took the news of the upcoming song as his attempt to win back fans’ favor.

“Bad Bunny singing this song with Grupo Frontera while smiling at Kendall Yenner is nasty work,” said one fan regarding his TikTok.

“The irony of this is that grupo frontera is a mexican norteño group and bad bunny’s new gf also profits off of and appropriates mexican culture,” another fan said, referring to the accusations that ads for Jenner’s tequila brand, 818, were tone-deaf and appropriating Mexican culture.

When will the new collab song drop?

The new song is expected to drop tomorrow, Monday, April 17. No time has been specified for the release.
