Across the internet, memers have wasted no time in responding to a woman’s viral reply to a street-interview question about sex.

One viral sex tip has spawned a glut of internet memes.

During a series of street interviews filmed by the social-media influencers Tim and Dee TV recently, a woman was asked: “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?” Her response, delivered in what appeared to be a thick southern drawl, has earned her internet-sensation status: “Oh, you’ve got to give it that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang, you get me?

To leave no viewer in doubt about the meaning of the onomatopoeic term “hawk tuah”, the unnamed woman - who is known only as “hawk tuah girl” - theatrically acts out the phrase as she says it. She mimics the action of collecting saliva and spitting it out, bringing her head back before jutting it forward toward the microphone in front of her, as if about to cover it in spittle.

As ever when someone or something goes viral, memers across the internet have wasted no time in applying their creative abilities to the “hawk tuah” phenomenon. Including a remix track.

Some of the best “hawk tuah” memes:

“Me liking every hawk tuah video and meme”

“Hawk Tuah Down”

“President Trump reacts”

“When she gives you the hawk tuah”

“Hawk tuah girl’s dad”

“Hawk tuah girl’s dad rn”

“And just like that...”

“Hawk Tuah Matata”

“Tony Hawk Tuah”

“Tony Hawk seeing why his name is trending”

“How do you get so many shiny Pokemon?”

What else did “hawk tuah girl” say?

“Hawk tuah girl” appears in more than one of Tim and Dee TV’s street-interview clips. In one, she is asked what the best way to deal with a break-up is, and quips: “The only way to get over one is to get under another”. In another clip, she is asked to send a message to her “last body”, apparently referring to her most recent sexual partner. Looking into the camera, she says: “I love you pookie, forever!”. As Distractify’s Jamie Lerner notes, it’s a response that hopefully deters “some of the creeps who just want to slide into her DMs, by proving she has a special someone in her life.”
