Beyoncé fans left stunned by Harry Styles’ Grammy win

Harry Styles made headlines by winning Album of the Year at the 2023 Grammy Awards, but Beyoncé fans weren’t all too thrilled at seeing Queen Bey miss out on the honor.

Beyoncé made history at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, becoming the most decorated artist in Grammys history with 32 awards.

In total she won four awards at Sunday’s show, passing conductor Georg Solti, who previously held the record for most Grammy Awards with 31.

“Thank you so much. I’m trying not to be too emotional. I’m trying to just receive this night,” said Beyoncé after breaking the record.

Despite the success, Beyoncé came up short in the biggest categories of the night. Record of the Year went to Lizzo for ‘About Damn Time’, while Song of the Year went to Bonnie Raitt for ‘Just Like That’.

As for Album of the Year, that went to Harry Styles for ‘Harry’s House’, and the news didn’t sit well with Beyoncé fans online.

“Beyonceeee,” could be heard in a video posted by Ernest Owens of the Philly Mag. Owens has since reached out and confirmed to AS that he was not the person heard shouting in the video.

Beyoncé fans make their feelings known

“I demand a RECOUNT,” wrote one disgruntled fan, while another stated that “Beyoncé was robbed!”

“Harry im really happy for you, imma let you finish, but beyonce had one of the best albums of all time,” added another, referencing Kanye West and Taylor Swift’s infamous 2009 VMAs moment.

“Still trying to process @Beyonce and @Adele lost,” added another fan, clearly surprised that the English singer was also overlooked for her album, ‘30′.

Styles received support as well

Although some Beyoncé fans weren’t happy with the decision, Styles received his fair share of support following the win.

He thanked his fellow nominees including Beyoncé, Adele, Lizzo and Brandi Carlile while accepting the honor.

“I’ve been so inspired by every artist in this category with me,” said Styles. “On nights like tonight, there are no such things as ‘best’ in music. This is really, really kind. I’m so grateful. This doesn’t happen to people like me very often.”

“Congratulations Harry. this is your best album yet and so well deserved! If anyone deserved AOTY it’s you H! Harry’s House has helped me on so many levels,” wrote one fan.

“THE ALBUM THAT SAVED ME IS THE GRAMMYS ALBUM OF THE YEAR,” wrote another fan.

“Defending Harry Styles for the week,” wrote another.
