Beyoncé is in Sweden getting set to kick off her opening show in her first tour since her nearly five-year hiatus from the spotlight. She will be dominating the evening solo, with no opening act.

The superstar did her first live show in January 2023 where she performed at a private venue opening in Dubai. While she performed a string of her greatest hits and several covers — and even brought her daughter onstage — the singer did not perform any songs live from ‘Renaissance’.

Beyoncé did not release any ‘Renaissance’ videos and released only one track, ‘Break My Soul’, as a single.

Queen Bey takes on Stockholm

Now Queen Bey is scheduled to debut ‘Renaissance’ at her first public show since 2018 from the stage at Stockholm’s Friends Arena Wednesday, May 10 at 7 pm EST.

The show is expected to last three hours.

Beyoncé will then perform a second show in Stockholm before she goes on to tour Europe and will head to North America to kick off the North American leg of the tour in Toronto on July 8.

A quick glimpse into ‘Renaissance’

There have been covert rehearsal footage released, as per Pitchfork, so audiences will have an idea of what to expect before Beyoncé hits the stage.

‘Break My Soul’, ‘Virgo’s Groove’, and ‘Cuff It’ are all songs from Beyoncé's ‘Renaissance’ album that fans can look forward to hearing live.

‘Renaissance’ success

‘Renaissance’, Beyoncé's seventh number one-ranking album, was released in July 2022.

The album won several Grammy Awards, including Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Traditional R&B Performance, Best R&B Song, and Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

Beyoncé has won more Grammys than any other artist in history.
