Update:

It’s been a historic year for Beyoncé - this week, she reached billionaire status, joining Forbes’ exclusive list of the top-earning global superstars in the music industry.

At just 44 years of age, Beyoncé becomes the fifth member of an elite group which includes her husband Jay‑Z, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen — artists who have turned their careers into massive business empires.

Revenue from 2025 tour

Beyoncé’s entry is largely thanks to the extraordinary success of her recent Cowboy Carter tour to promote her 10th studio album. The all-stadium tour included 32 shows, drew attendance figures of 1.6 million and generated $407.6 million in ticket sales. According to Billboard Boxscore, Cowboy Carter is now the highest‑grossing country tour of all time.

Her previous all-arena tour, the 2023 Renaissance World Tour, brought in $579.8 million across 56 shows in 39 cities on four continents. To this day, it remains the 12th highest-grossing tour of all-time.

Business portfolio

The singer didn’t amass her fortunes overnight. It began in 2008 when she made the bold decision to launch Parkwood Entertainment, the company that independently manages every aspect of her career.

Setting up Parkwood allowed her to retain full creative control, business autonomy, and the ability to diversify her revenue streams without relying on outside labels or corporations.

The decision to run her career on her own terms was influenced by the the “Queen of Pop” herself, Madonna.

When I decided to be my own manager, it was important not to go through a big management agency. I felt like I wanted to follow in Madonna’s footsteps, to be an influential figure, to have my own empire, and to show other women that when you get to this point in your career, you don’t have to sign with anyone else and share your money and your success; you do it yourself,” she explained in a 2013 interview.

Today, Beyoncé continues expanding her business portfolio with ventures like Cécred (haircare), SirDavis (alcoholic beverages), and Ivy Park (athleisure).

Still, the bulk of her wealth comes from owning her music catalog and dominating the global touring market.
