After nearly a decade away from big movie roles, Cameron Diaz’s upcoming film ‘Back in Action’ may be on hold after drama unfolded on the set of the movie, resulting in people getting fired and co-star Jamie Foxx being involved in a scam.

The movie has reportedly already experienced filming delays due to the winter weather in England, but this latest drama has also added to Diaz’s decision to potentially retire from acting altogether once filming is complete.

Theft plot on set

Foxx was allegedly the unfortunate victim in a plot to steal $55,000 from the actor, which resulted in multiple firings, including an executive producer, two directors, and Foxx’s personal driver.

The police were also involved in the situation, with a member of staff being investigated for their attempts to similarly rob other celebrities in the past.

“It sounds as though they tried to offer up a Rolex watch as part of the deal but now there’s an investigation into everything going on. People will be glad when this thing finally wraps,” a source told The Sun.

Despite the drama, Diaz is still on good terms with Foxx, but the news comes after it’s been reported she’s considering retiring once again after the movie wraps up.

“These back-to-back 10-hour workdays have been a lot on her and she hates being away from Raddix,” a source close to the actress told The Daily Mail.

Cameron loves being a mom more than anything in the world,” the source said.

“She has already proven herself in the industry and has nothing left to prove to anyone.”

Why Diaz stepped back from Hollywood

Diaz stepped back from acting after her last role in 2014 when she played Miss Colleen Hannigan in ‘Annie’. A year after, she married Benji Madden, lead guitarist of Good Charlotte. In 2019, the couple welcomed their daughter Raddix Madden. She has since spent her time enjoying married life and being a mom.

In Gwyneth Paltrow’s YouTube series ‘In goop Health: The Sessions’, Diaz says she learned about herself during her time away from acting,

I learned a lot about myself,” Diaz told Paltrow.

“It’s painful. It hurts. It’s scary. I credit Benji a lot. I broke that mirror about a thousand times when he put it up to me.
