The internet exploded with the news that the famous American singer-songwriter and the Kansas City Chiefs star will be husband and wife. Now, fans are waiting for them to announce when and where the big wedding will be.
The news was announced by the happy couple on Instagram, with a joint post that had the caption: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”.
The comments section was flooded with comments and the post racked up an astonishing number of likes in minutes. After just one day the post had already been liked more than 30 million times and it’s already one of the most popular Instagram posts of all time. But it’s got a long was to go to overtake No. 1.

That post racked up 10 million likes in just 40 minutes, while Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s announcement took about an hour to reach that mark.
Currently Messi’s post, which was published on December 18, 2022, has 74 million likes. It has taken four and a half years for Messi’s post to reach that figure and it marks the seminal moment in his career, at the culmination of one of the greatest soccer matches of all time.
But with the collective force of Swifties and NFL fans combined, it might not take long for the engagement photo to overtake Lionel Messi’s celebration as the most-liked Instagram post of all time.
