CBS set for massive ‘FBI’ crossover event
Fans of the CBS franchise will want to tune in on April 4 when the trio of ‘FBI’ shows will focus on one case.
Fans of the ‘FBI’ franchise on CBS are in for a treat as the network will host another crossover event with its two spinoff series, ‘FBI: International’ and ‘FBI: Most Wanted’.
The event will take place on April 4 beginning at 8 p.m. ET, and be available on CBS and via streaming on Paramount +.
The crossover will be the first since the addition of Dylan McDermott and Edwin Hodge to ‘FBI: Most Wanted’, and Eva-Jane Willis on ‘FBI: International’.
CBS second crossover for three FBI shows
This is the second time CBS has run a crossover event for the three ‘FBI’ series, with the first taking place in September 2021. The event served to launch the youngest of the two spinoffs, ‘FBI: International’.
For the special night on April 4, the series will air as follows:
8 p.m. ET - FBI: International
9 p.m. ET - FBI
10 p.m ET - FBI: Most Wanted
Further details on the case that will bring the three teams together will be announced at a later date, with Eric Kim, EVP of current programs for CBS Entertainment and CBS Studios excited by the crossover.
“As the FBIs continue to dominate on Tuesday nights, we are excited to reward our devoted fans with this special three-hour global crossover event that will bring these three heroic — and popular — teams together for a second time,” said Kim.
“Our April 4 crossover event will be a non-stop thrilling experience that will keep viewers engaged in ways that only Dick Wolf’s FBI world can.”
NCIS crossover event
CBS crossover events aren’t exclusive to ‘FBI’ shows, as the network recently aired a one-night NCIS crossover on January 9.
The event brought together ‘NCIS’/‘NCIS: Hawaii’/ ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ as they looked to solve a case involving a mysterious hitman.
The franchise is one of the most successful and enduring on television, amassing over 4.1 trillion minutes viewed across all its franchises according to CBS. This includes viewings across CBS, encore airings on syndication, cable, VOD and streaming.
It’s also one of the most-watched franchises around the world, with all three current series distributed in more than 200 countries.
