Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux announce their engagement following pregnancy reveal
The couple took to social media to share their joy-filled news with their followers.
Chanel Iman and Davon Godchaux are officially tying the knot.
Earlier today the happy couple took to their social media to share the news that they are now engaged.
This news follows Iman and Godchaux’s previous announcement they made on May 14, revealing they are expecting their first child together.
In a joint post the pair shared photos from their engagement which took place in Capri, Italy.
“The blessings keep pouring, grateful for this new chapter and soon to be married and a forever to go. Capri, Italy.” the caption read.
Godchaux gushes over Iman
Along with their official engagement post, Davon also took the chance to admit that he was “nervous ahh hell” to propose but ultimately confessed his love and explained that “What does not kill us only makes us stronger.”
“First of all, I can’t even lie, I was nervous ahh hell,” Godchaux wrote on Instagram. “And I never thought I would be getting down on one knee but LOVE will make you do some amazing things in life,”
“Chanel I love you so much and I wouldn’t have rather spend this moment with no one else by my side! From the moment we met I knew it was something about you and how much you value having a FAMILY that was really important to me,”
“We are in this together and will always be, I love you from the bottom of my heart! My love, My fiancé, My everything!! What does not kill us only makes us stronger!!”
Chanel responded to the sweet love note with a comment that read “Can’t wait to officially call you my husband and share your last name.”
Iman and Godchaux announce the gender of their first child together
Before the couple got engaged, they took to their social media on May 3 to announce that their family would be welcoming their first child together.
Along with photos of the couple and Iman showing off her growing belly, the couple wrote on Instagram “Our family is growing and we are so excited to meet our new little one.”
Later on May 14, the pair posted a video of them and their two daughters, (Cassie and Cali, who Iman shares with her ex Sterling Shepard) using confetti cannons to reveal the baby’s gender.
“The gender reveal is here!!!! Surprise.” The post read.
Devon left a comment on the post that read “#GirlDad” while Chanel wrote back “You got your girl.”
