The British singer-songwriter himself revealed in a post on his Instagram profile about how the Thor actor came to pick up the drum-sticks: “He came to visit me, learned to play the drums as part of a documentary on cognitive health and he’s coming to join me in front of 70,000 people”.

The Hollywood star initially contacted Ed Sheeran via email with details on the documentary about health and the benefits of learning to play an instrument as Sheeran boasted jokingly: “I got him to learn how to play drums for my stadium show.”

This Bucharest gig will form part of the second season of National Geographic’s Limitless with Chris Hemsworth, although we will have to wait until 2025, according to reports of a proposed release date according to Variety.

Sofia (Bulgaria), Larnaca (Cyprus), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) are the next destinations for the famous Ipswich Town fan before the tour cranks up again next year in 2025 with shows in Madrid (Spain), Marseille, Lille (France) and Rome (Italy) as part of an extensive European tour.
