Christina Aguilera performed at Thursday night’s Viña del Mar International Song Festival in Chile, the 62nd edition of the festival, and it was reported as one of the best shows of the year.

The ‘Genie in a Bottle’ singer made a splash onstage with her iconic platinum blonde hair in a high ponytail and wearing a plunging black velour top and black pants with silver decor. Aguilera switched jackets throughout the show, cycling through a leather jacket, a sparkling sports parka, and a luxurious fur coat.

The Grammy winner styled down to the wrists with costume jewelry and different sunglasses, including a hot red-tinted pair of shades.

Christina Aguilera’s set list

The singing superstar’s set list included one of her greatest hits, 1999′s ‘Genie in a Bottle’, ‘Let There Be Love’, 2001 song of the year ‘Lady Marmalade’, ‘But I Remember You’ — a song in which the Quinta Vergara audience “shouted euphorically”, and ‘Can’t Hold Us Down’, another song of the year, 2002.

Aguilera included a Spanish-language set in her performance, as she sang ‘Ya Llegué’ (I’m Here) and ‘Santo’.

The American sang a total of 18 songs, and when it came time to accept her Gaviota de Plata and Gaviota de Oro awards, Christina Aguilera mounted the stage wearing a bright red overcoat.

The special GLAAD award

The GLAAD Media Awards, to be held on March 30, has arranged a special award for the popstar. Christina Aguilera is set to be honored for her work with people who suffer from HIV with an Advocate for Change Award at the 2023 GLAAD Awards, alongside the rapper Bad Bunny and the actor Jeremy Pope.

Aguilera commented on her gratefulness in receiving the award, but emphasized that is not why she does the work.

“The accolades and awards and all those things are nice,” the singer said, “but what truly has mattered to me the most all these years is the connection I’ve made with people.”
