Cristiano Ronaldo fails to land a glove on YouTube king MrBeast
The Portuguese striker launched his own YouTube channel last August with speculation rife that it would become the most followed channel.
Al Nassr and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed individual on planet earth when it comes to social media with the veteran player boasting more than 1 billion followers across his portfolio of social media platforms (X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube...).
The Madeira native’s YouTube channel is his latest foray into the social media world with his ‘UR Cristiano’ channel getting a global launch last August.
After just 12 days, the UR Cristiano channel has already attracted over 55 million new subscriptions with many speculating that given his immense global appeal, the Portuguese was on track to have the most followed YouTube channel on the planet, even surpassing the 331 million followers enjoyed by MrBeast aka James Stephen “Jimmy” Donaldson, a seasoned YouTuber and internet personality who has held top ranking with his channel for some time.
Donaldson, who is now a well established businessman, has been massively successful creating fast-paced and high-production videos featuring elaborate challenges and lucrative giveaways.
CR7 falls short
Despite the early surge of interest as fans initially flocked to Ronaldo’s YouTube channel, the account has failed to reach the heady heights initially envisaged and at present, boasts a massively respectable 67 million subscribers but falls, well, well short of MrBeast’s overall tally of 331 million.
In the overall YouTube subscriber ranking, the Al Nassr man sits at No. 32 between American Alan Chikin Chow and El Reino Infantil which is an Argentine portal for children’s music.
