Rapper 50 Cent posted artwork from Grand Theft Auto’s Vice City on social media this week, prompting fans to believe the rapper will be featured in Rockstar Games’ upcoming game ‘Grand Theft Auto 6′.

The Grammy-Award-winning rapper has seemingly hinted at his involvement in the game twice this past week. First, on February 28th he posted an image of the Grand Theft Auto logo on Instagram. Two days later he posted the same image and caption to Twitter.

The caption reads as, “I will Explain this later, GLG … GreenLightGang this sh** bigger than POWER trust me. … BOOM … #bransoncognac #lecheminduroi.”

Fan Theories

‘Power’ is an American crime drama TV series that was co-created and co-produced by 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson). It has had a successful run on air with six seasons from 2014 to 2020.

Although the social media post is cryptic and 50 Cents promises to explain in more detail later, fans have already taken to the comments to theorize that the rapper has a main role in the upcoming gameplay.

One commenter claimed their dad works for Rockstar games and 50 Cent has a “really funny” role.

When is GTA VI coming out?

According to an NME report published in July 2022, GTA 6 is “at least two years from its release.” The report also claims that the upcoming game will be set in a fictionalized version of Miami.

This has also seemingly been confirmed by 50 Cent’s mentioning of ‘Vice City,’ the game’s title for the fictionalized version of Miami. NME also reports that GTA 6 will follow a female protagonist, the series’ first lead female character.

Beyond previous reports and 50 Cent’s cryptic posts there has been little detail revealed about the upcoming 6th installment of the game. Reports from Bloomberg also claim that production for the game has been severely slowed down by COVID-19 precautions.
