King Charles has decided to evict Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage according to reports.

When did King Charles decide to evict the couple?

The Sun are reporting that Buckingham Palace issued the eviction notice to the couple back in January, just days after Harry’s memoir ‘Spare’ hit shelves.

“This eviction surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK,” a source told the outlet.

It’s also claimed that the Palace want to replace the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Prince Andrew, who may have even been offered the keys to the property last week.

The move would be a downgrade for Andrew, who is used to the Royal Lodge, which includes a pool and 30 bedroom. Frogmore Cottage currently has five bedrooms.

“Andrew is resisting the idea of moving into Frogmore Cottage after he was offered it last week,” an insider told The Sun.

“But it shows Harry and Meghan are powerless to stop the eviction.”

Harry and Meghan, who have relocated to California, have not been offered another property on the estate. They are reportedly planning to have all of their remaining belongings in Frogmore sent to their Montecito, California home.

Frogmore Cottage was gifted to the Duke and Duchess by Queen Elizabeth II for their wedding back in 2018. It is close to Adelaide Cottage, which is the principal home of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Harry and Meghan’s reaction

The couple reportedly believe that the decision to evict them is “cruel”, with a friend claiming the have at least until the Coronation in May to leave the grounds.

“It all feels very final and like a cruel punishment. It’s like [the family] want to cut them out of the picture for good,” a friend of the couple told Omid Scobie.

“Harry and Meghan have until early summer to vacate. Initially they were given just weeks, but now they have at least until after the Coronation.”

Scobie also said that two members of the Royal Family are “appalled” by the decision, but doesn’t name why they are.

Despite the news, Harry and Meghan were all smiles when they were spotted arriving at San Vicente Bungalows in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.

In pictures obtained by Page Six, Meghan was seen wearing black leather pants, black heels and a beige cardigan. Her outfit was completed with a black clutch.

As for Harry, he wore a grey cardigan, blue T-shirt, jeans and blue shoes.
