Rihanna set to add to her family
Rihanna and her partner A$AP Rocky began dating in 2020, and welcomed their first child to the world in May 2022. As of yet, the couple have yet to reveal the name of their son.
Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, revealed that the couple have gone through several names, but to no avail.
“She’ll have my head if I tell you!” Fenty told Page Six, though he did reveal that the baby looks like both his mother and father.
Rihanna announced she was expecting her second child during the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show.
Fans were quick to pick up on the potential pregnancy during the performance, with her representatives later confirming the news.
Prior to the event, she hinted that she may have some big news to share when speaking with CBS’ Nate Burleson, saying, “I’m thinking about bringing someone,” with regards to her halftime performance.
In the leadup to the performance, Rihanna also spoke about how becoming mother has inspired her to take on bigger challenges.
“When you become a mom there’s something that just happens where you feel like you could take on the world, you can do anything,” Rihanna said. “And the Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world.
“So as scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all, and it’s important for me to do this this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see that.”
