The music video for ‘Dance the Night’ begins with Lipa arriving on set for the music video, where she is promptly taught the new choreography for the song’s dance routine before a giant disco ball is heard crashing to the ground.
A shocked Lipa is captioned in the video, “This Barbie is making a music video.”
From there, Lipa is seen in her dressing room, as the walls break down, spinning into a dance routine with crew members pulling different racks of clothing around her.
“Baby, you can find me under the lights / Diamonds under my eyes / Turn the rhythm up, don’t you wanna just /Come along for the ride?” she sings in the song’s opening lines.
Backup dancers wearing the same outfit as Lipa, a pink sequined halter top, blue sequined mini skirt, and metallic pink cowboy boots, show up to mirror her dance moves as she performs on a pink elevated stage with a long staircase.
The video ends with a brief cameo appearance by ‘Barbie’ director Greta Gerwig who calls cut on the music video, asking, “Where’s the giant disco ball?”
