Mexican actress Eiza González has responded to accusations of racism against her after a user of the social media network X accused her of being racist towards actor Babs Olusanmokun.

User (@welllwellwellll) posted a red carpet video The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare in which the actress supposedly ignores the Olusanmokun to greet Henry Cavill. Faced with the accusations, Eiza responded, sharing the context of the situation.

Eiza takes to X

“Nice try to try to destroy a person’s integrity. Babs is a great friend, such a great friend that we arrived at the event together. This three-second video is us lining up to take a cast photo and Henry was arriving and we both congratulated him on his baby,” she wrote on X.

Babs and I had been together there for 30 minutes. It should be noted that you made it an issue of race. That says a lot more about you than it does about me. It is a shame that people talk about a person’s color at this time. Especially when we are a minority. You should be ashamed about your tweet as it is a reflection of how you think. Greetings from us. Proud to incite these types of conversations in 2024,” she added.

This is not the first time that Eiza has turned to social media to make a point and clear up a situation. A few weeks ago the Mexican clarified her relationship situation after several speculations about her love life.

Eiza clarifies her sentimental situation

After the ‘3 Body Problem’ star was spotted earlier this month with British model Guy Binns while they had dinner in Mayfair, central London, rumors of an alleged relationship emerged.

However, the Baby Driver star came out to clarify that she is single. “To clarify any doubts. I’m single. I have male friends too. Not every man who is close to me is somewhat romantic. I will continue to have friends. Thank you. Have a nice day!” she shared on her X profile.

In 2023, the Mexican actress also defended herself and denied accusations that she dated Liam Hemsworth while he was still married to Miley Cyrus. “Hello! This is completely untrue. I have never been part of any infidelity in my life. Never. Please do not distort information,” she noted.
