Emma Laird turns off Instagram comments after Taylor Swift fans flood post with Joe Alwyn

After it was recently revealed that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are no longer together after a six-year relationship, it appears fans are still passionate as ever when it comes to news regarding the pair.

While Swift has been busy with her ‘Eras Tour’ and enjoying the single life in New York, Alwyn has been busy with his own project.

The 32-year-old is currently filming in Hungary as he works on Brady Corbet’s upcoming film, ‘The Brutalist’, which also stars big names like Guy Pearce, Adrien Brody and Felicity Jones.

The film also stars Emma Laird, who shared a carousal on Instagram which features several of the stars, including Alwyn, and their experiences on set.

“Moments in March ❤️ 🎥,” the actress captioned the post.

Swift fans flood comments section

One of the photos features Alwyn smiling on an e-scooter, which caught the attention of Swift fans.

Laird had previously posted pictures featuring the same scooters back in January, but that didn’t stop Swift fans from taking it as a slight meant for the singer.

There has been nothing indicating that Laird and Alwyn are romantically involved, but some Swift fans accused the actress of coming between the now former couple.

“Read the room omg Swifties are coming for you,” read one comment, with another adding: “Lady I hope youre (sic) not proud of being the other woman to a boring poor man.”

Another hit out at Alwyn, who is known for being private, writing: “What hypocrisy @joe.alwyn forbade Taylor to appear in the media, out of envy. And now it’s their landing in a photo. I’m glad you’re not with her anymore. You were terrible for her.”

Laird has since turned off comments on the post, but that hasn’t stopped fans from leaving comments on some of her other posts.

Swift and Alwyn were reportedly close to buying a mansion

News involving Swift and Alwyn following their breakup continues to emerge, with a recent report stating the couple were in the process of buying a seven bedroom £8.3million home in Belsize Park, North London.

Land Registry records show the deal still appears subject to completion, raising questions as to whether Swift or Alwyn will move into the house now that they are no longer together.
