It’s only been a few hours since the premiere of Season 2 of ‘The Squid Game’ (available from this morning on Netflix), but some people are already thinking about the next installment.

The reason is that Season 3 of ‘The Squid Game’ was announced a while ago, as the team has been working on it alongside the second one, so it is already in the final stages of editing. A third season that, by the way, will be the last one (the director of the series explains why below).
When is season 3 of ‘The Squid Game’ premiering?
Hwang Dong-hyuk, creator of the Netflix series, confirmed that the third season of ‘The Squid Game’ will premiere in 2025, and although he did not specify in which time frame, it is most likely that the date will be in the second half of the year, probably in the final stretch, around Christmas.
Dong-hyuk revealed that Season 3 will bring Gi-hun’s story to a close.
