The ‘How I Met Your Father’ actress Francia Raisa recently opened up about dealing with online harassment after a rumored feud with Selena Gomez. Raisa donated the kidney to Gomez in 2017.

Previously this month, Raisa intentionally avoided the conversation around Selena Gomez with interviewers while walking her dog. Gomez previously praised Francia earlier this year in an episode of Apple TV+’s ‘Dear…’ series.

“It’s not good at all. It’s not fun either,” Raisa told TMZ on May 8 of the messages she’s received. “They are pretty bad but I think the one that probably hurt the most was, ‘I hope someone goes up your p**sy and rips out your other kidney you f--king whore.”

The actress explains how she wants her detractors to know, “in no way, shape or form does anyone condone bullying, especially Selena.” Francia also pointed out that Gomez “has a non-profit dedicated to mental health and I believe Rare Beauty just had an event for mental health.”

“Now I’m being bullied as I am and it’s messing with me mentally,” Francia admitted. “To me it’s not what anyone wants for someone and she’s literally out there saying please stop, so I don’t understand why it’s not stopping.”

The ‘Grown-ish’ actress continued, “Not just for me but for others who are also being antagonized online.” She also explained

Ignoring the hate

“I’m doing my best to not listen, to not read,” she continued. “I’m very happy and I’m living my life. I’m sending love to everyone. I understand because I’ve been a hardcore fan of people myself growing up, I totally, totally, totally get it but it’s not nice and I would say—not just with me but with anyone—please stop.”

Gomez’s anti-bullying initiative

Gomez has been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including her work on anti-bullying initiatives. While she has been an advocate against bullying, she does not have a personal non-profit organization dedicated solely to this cause.

Additionally, Selena Gomez has been vocal about her own experiences with bullying and has used her social media platforms to share messages of positivity, self-acceptance, and kindness. She has also spoken out against cyberbullying, emphasizing the importance of online safety and promoting healthy digital habits.

While Gomez does not have her own non-profit organization dedicated specifically to anti-bullying, she has been actively involved in raising awareness and supporting initiatives that address bullying and mental health.
