Update:

One Battle After Another dominates the film nominees for next month’s Golden Globes, while The White Lotus has collected more nods than any other TV series.

A black comedy starring Leonardo DiCaprio, who is up for Best Actor honors, One Battle After Another has been nominated for nine awards. They also include Best Musical or Comedy, and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson.

Sentimental Value, Joachim Trier’s chiefly Norwegian-language comedy-drama, is just behind One Battle, with eight nominations.

The White Lotus, whose third season concluded amid record-breaking viewing figures in March, has picked up six Golden Globe nods - most notably, Best Drama.

Mike White’s HBO murder mystery is followed by Adolescence, Netflix’s hit series about a 13-year-old boy arrested for murdering a girl at his high school. The four-part psychological drama has five nominations.

Are there any new categories?

Yes: Announced live on CBS on Monday, the nominations for the 83rd Golden Globes feature one new category: Best Podcast. Six shows, including SmartLess and Good Hang with Amy Poehler, are in the running for the inaugural award.
