Hailey Bieber has lost 1 million followers since Selena Gomez drama

In a coincidental turn of events, the discourse surrounding Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber, and briefly Kylie Jenner, has resulted in a noticeable drop in Instagram followers for the latter two stars.

Bieber has now recently been noted to have lost almost 1 million followers on the photo app, shortly after it was reported that Jenner had lost a similar amount since the controversy began that both she and Bieber were shading Gomez.

While Bieber herself hasn’t said anything about the supposed feud on any of her social media accounts, it’s become clear that her follower number has dropped significantly.

Since the shading rumors began, Bieber had 50.7 million followers. She now has 49.7 million followers, meaning that she has lost approximately over a million followers. In the meantime, Gomez has received 10 million more followers.

Jenner, once the most followed woman on Instagram, briefly dropped from 380 million in January, to 379 million. As of today, she has regained her 380 million followers, but Selena keeps climbing and now has 395 million followers since she returned to posting on her own Instagram in January when she had 382 million followers. For four years, Gomez had an assistant post on her behalf.

Gomez calls fans to be more considerate

In a new TikTok, Gomez had asked fans to be nicer to others and to “consider others [sic] mental health”, in now-deleted comments on a recent makeup tutorial.

“Thank you and love you all so much,” she wrote. “I’m deeply grateful for each and every one of you humans. You make me unbelievably happy.”

“My heart has been heavy and I only want good for everyone,” she continued. “All my love.”

While Gomez does not specifically say she is asking her fans to be kinder to both Bieber and Jenner, the comments come at a time when there has been so much speculation of drama between the three women.

At the same time, Bieber has yet to call the same of her fans. After the allegations that she was shading Gomez and mocking Gomez’s eyebrow lamination after the singer herself admitted “I accidentally laminated my brows too much”, Jenner was the one who spoke out.

“this is reaching. no shade towards selena ever and i didn’t see her eyebrow posts!” she wrote in a comment on a fan video theorizing on the situation. “u guys are making something out of nothing. this is silly.”

“Agreed @kyliejenner,” Selena replied to the comment. “It’s all unnecessary. I’m a fan of Kylie!”

Bieber has still not said anything nor offered any apologies in the same manner as Jenner.
