Halle Berry hits back at critics over risqué social media post
After a recent post garnered some criticism from users, Halle Berry fired back at the ‘ageist’ comment.
Halle Berry isn’t interested in reading any sort of negativity when it comes to her enjoying herself.
The 56-year-old took to social media over over the weekend to post a sun-kissed nude photo of herself drinking wine while leaning on a balcony.
While many praised the actress for confidently posting the photo, some weren’t as positive, with some critics hitting out at her post saying she was looking for attention.
“Imagine being in your 50s, and still posting nudes for attention in menopause when you should be chilling with the grandkids. Aging with dignity is no longer a thing,” wrote one user.
Berry has no time for critics
Rather than address the criticism directly, Berry skillfully sidestepped the post via her Twitter account.
“Did you guys know the heart of a shrimp is located in its head?” she quote-tweeted in response.
Fans were quick to rally behind Berry after the post, with one user writing: “I found this inspiring. It’s healthy to go outside and be natural. Keep it up. I’ll be doing it when I’m 80!”
Another fan wrote: “Halle Berry is easily the most enjoyable and unproblematic celeb Twitter account. Sis is just out here bein (sic) fine as hell, enjoying life, loving her man, and shooting the shit with her fans. Imagine how miserable one has to be to find a problem with that.”
“Imagine being in your 50s and still being one of the hottest women on the planet,” added another fan.
Along with fans, Berry’s celebrity pals showed support for the actress as well.
“You won the internet today with this clap back. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾,” wrote Audra McDonald.

The photo is one of several Berry has posted recently in which she is seen having a good time.
On Sunday, she wished everyone a Happy Easter near the water, while she was leaning against a glass balcony overlooking the ocean in another.
“Keeping my spirits up ✨,” she captioned the photo, in which she’s holding a glass of bubbly in one hand.
Berry is seen sporting a floor-length tan caftan layered over a black string bikini.
