Who is “hawk tuah girl”?
Welch went viral after appearing in a series of street interviews conducted in Nashville by the content creators Tim and Dee TV. Asked to name “one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time”, she responded: “Oh, you’ve got to give it that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thing, you get me?”
To illustrate the meaning of the onomatopoeic term “hawk tuah”, she theatrically mimicked the action of collecting saliva and spitting it out, bringing her head backwards before jutting it forward towards the microphone.
Welch’s viral response has spawned a flood of online memes, has inspired remix tracks, and has been referenced in sports stars’ in-game celebrations.

Welch has reportedly signed a “hawk tuah” merchandising agreement with the Tennessee company Fathead Threads, which is selling a range of items - including hats and T-shirts - that bear her famous phrase.
According to TMZ, however, claims that she has been given a deal with a Hollywood talent agency are wide of the mark.
