New videos began circulating after his situation first shocked many in September, when it was revealed that the former Nickelodeon star is now living on the streets of California.
A recently posted TikTok clip, filmed in California, shows the 36‑year‑old in visibly rough condition. The person recording asks if he once appeared on a Disney Channel show, prompting Chase to clarify that he was on Nickelodeon’s Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide.
Mixed reactions
“Oh, right — you’re that guy,” the person behind the camera replies as Chase states his full name. The video sparked mixed reactions online, ranging from deep concern to criticism of the person who filmed him for posting the video online and not respecting Chase’s privacy.
Chase played Martin Qwerly in the series from 2004 to 2007. After that, his TV appearances became increasingly sporadic until he eventually disappeared from the acting world. He went viral in September when a TikTok user posted images of him and his life on the streets.
Tylor Chase refuses help
After his situation became public in September, a GoFundMe campaign was launched to raise money for him. More than $1,000 was collected before the fundraiser was shut down at the request of Chase’s mother, who said her son needed medical care — not money — and that he was refusing help.
According to Prime Timer, Chase’s mother also said she had bought him several phones, but he would lose them within a day or two. She added that he’s unable to manage his finances or pay for the medication he needs.
Police recently told TMZ that Chase continues to refuse all treatment options. Ryan Railsback, public information officer for the Riverside Police Department, said officers are very familiar with him and interact with him at least once a week.
Authorities emphasized that they have offered him help multiple times, but he always declines. They also noted that Tylor is typically cooperative and polite during these encounters.
