Hilary Duff open to Harry Styles appearance on ‘How I Met Your Father’
Hilary Duff and her daughter are big Harry Styles’ fans, and made it clear she’d be delighted if he appeared on the show.
Hilary Duff wouldn’t object to Harry Styles being a love interest on her hit show ‘How I Met Your Father’.
The 35-year-old and four-year-old daughter Banks are big fans of the singer, recently revealing on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ that she celebrated her daughter’s birthday by taking her to a Styles concert.
“She got a lot of cool presents, but I think the most exciting one for her is she’s a massive Harry Styles fan. So when we bought the tickets, I was like, ‘This is for me.’ It was so good,” Duff told Clarkson.
“Matt [Koma], my husband watches the show. I’m like, ‘Are you having a good time? Are you enjoying this?’ And he’s having the time of his life but he’s absorbing and staring.
“And I’m over here partying and singing along, and he’s like, ‘I can’t hear because you’re singing so loud and embarrassing all of us.’ And Banks did the same thing.”
Duff open to working with Styles
While Duff’s character on ‘How I Met Your Father’, Sophie, still hasn’t shared who the father is, she says she would be happy to have Styles appear on the show.
“My God, we’d love to have Harry!,” Duff told E!.
“The show is juicy I feel like every episode’s kind of leaving you wanting more, you know whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”
The show is no stranger to cameo appearances, with several ‘How I Met Your Mother’ stars having already reprised their roles.
Cameo appearances on ‘How I Met Your Father’
Neil Patrick Harris reprised his role as Barney Stinson in the Season 2 premiere, which debuted on January 24.
Creators Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger have already told audiences they will see more of Harris throughout the season.
“Whenever we talk about bringing back a member of the original crew, you want it to serve two purposes: You want to give some tidbits about what is going on in their lives, where they’ve landed and where they’re at,” Aptaker told TV Line.
Cobie Smulders appeared as Robin Scerbatsky in the Season 1 finale, while The Captain (played by Kyle MacLachlan) and his wife Becky (Laure Bell Bundy) have also appeared.
Jason Segel has also said he would be happy to return as Marshall Eriksen.
