Actor Jake Gyllenhaal and Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor are currently promoting ‘Road House’, a remake of Patrick Swayze’s 1989 famous film. In the movie, the Oscar nominee plays Elwood Dalton, a retired UFC fighter who ends up working as a bouncer at a bar in Florida, while the historic Irish fighter plays one of his main enemies.

The new version of ‘Road House’, directed by Doug Liman, is now available on Amazon Prime Video getting a global release on Thursday, March 21. In addition to Gyllenhaal and McGregor, the film also features performances by Daniela Melchior, Lukas Gage and rapper Post Malone.

Post Malone’s venture into film

Despite having a short cameo in the film, this is not the Syracuse native’s first venture into acting having starred in the likes of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Spenser Confidential and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, appearing under the moniker of Adam Post.

Post Malone (once again credited as Austin Post), this time plays a character named Carter Ford in the film and makes a brief at the opening scene of the movie, when Gyllenhaal’s character, Dalton, shows up at an underground fight ring to earn some extra money. We see Carter in action at the outset (aka Post Malone) highly distinguishable by his tattoos as he easily overcomes his first opponent in the ring. Carter is full of bravado but when Dalton steps up to fight after revealing himself from under a hooded top, Carter backs down and upon being heckled retorts with a “You fucking fight him!”, clearly aware of who the Gyllenhaal character is.

Post Malone’s “Horsepower” is one of the first tracks played in “Road House,” with the song yet to get a general release.
