How is Prince Harry connected to Diddy?
The Duke of Sussex has been dragged into Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sexual assault and sex trafficking lawsuit as his name appeared in court documents.
Somehow Prince Harry has come into the conversation surrounding all of the Diddy drama. In the $30 million lawsuit against Sean Combs, also known as P Diddy/Puff Daddy, Combs was accused of sexual assault, sex trafficking, and the solicitation and distribution of illegal narcotics and firearms.
The lawsuit was filed by record producer Rodney Jones and mentioned that Combs was known to bring high-end guests to his parties through his association with celebrities. While Jones mentioned “athletes, political figures, artists, and musicians”, he specifically name-dropped Prince Harry when mentioning “international dignitaries”.
Was Prince Harry involved in the allegations against Diddy?
There is no indication that Prince Harry has done anything wrong. Although his name is mentioned in the court documents, which note that he is affiliated with Diddy, and that serves to add to the rapper’s “legitimacy”, they do not suggest that Prince Harry was involved in any of the alleged scandals.
Federal agents raided Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami last week in order to seize his phones and computers. Diddy was later seen wandering around the Miami airport. He denies all allegations and has not yet been arrested.
Prince Harry and Prince William crossed paths with Diddy in 2007 when he and several other stars performed at the Concert For Diana at Wembley Stadium. The concert was organized by Harry and William to celebrate their late mother Princess Diana’s birthday. Diddy spoke highly of Harry in 2012 when he was preparing for a visit to London. “I’m hoping I’ll get to catch up with Prince Harry while I’m there,” Diddy said at the time. “He’s such a cool guy and it’s about time we hung out. I need him to take me to some of those wild Mayfair clubs!”
Harry has not been incriminated and his name was only mentioned once as an example of the high-end celebrities Diddy hangs with.
Diddy himself denies all claims made in the lawsuit, which include those by Jones which say he sexually assaulted him, threw parties where underage girls and sex workers were present, and coerced him into soliciting prostitution. There are also lawsuits from three other women against him, all involving forms of sexual assault and abuse.
“Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” said Diddy. “I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
