How Jamie Foxx’s movie is moving forward after his ‘medical complication’
As of Monday, Foxx was still in hospital as doctors continued to run tests to figure out what caused his medical situation.
Work on ‘Back in Action’, the movie starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz, resumed on Monday after the former was hospitalized for an undisclosed “medical complication” last week.
Was Jamie Foxx on set?
While Diaz was seen back on set in sweats, glasses, and wavy hair, Foxx was not, as a body double stepped in for him.
A photo showed Diaz and co-star McKenna Roberts walking with the body double through what appeared to be a nightclub called The Level.
The movie reportedly still has eight days of filming remaining, but it is unclear if and when Foxx will be able to return to the set.
An update on Monday stated doctors are still running tests on the Oscar winner as they try and determine what caused his health scare on April 11.
“They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened,” a source told CNN regarding Foxx’s health scare.
This comes after another source said late last week that Foxx was improving as he continues to recover while in hospital.
Foxx’s daughter lets fans know about Jamie
Jamie’s daughter, Corrine, let fans know about her father’s condition last Wednesday via an Instagram post.
“We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne Foxx wrote on behalf of her family.
“Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
People reports that a casting director for ‘Back in Action’ informed extras that a scene set to be filmed this past Sunday had been canceled due to “changes in production.”
Following the changes, the scene will not be rescheduled, though the memo states that scenes scheduled to be filmed Monday and Tuesday will move forward as planned.
