During those years, she began taking on various roles in television series such as ‘ER’ and ‘Veronica Mars’. In 2008, the actress made her film debut in ‘Jolene’ and in the 2010s, she became one of the great actresses of the international scene.

She repeated the nomination, this time in the Best Actress category, for ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ in 2013. Success finally came in 2022, when she won the Best Actress award for ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye’.
In total, she has been nominated three times and has won one Oscar. She has also won a Golden Globe and has been nominated for multiple other awards, including BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Chastain is also a co-owner, along with actresses like Juliette Binoche, Queen Latifah, and Freida Pinto, of her own non-profit film production company, We Do It Together. The company’s purpose is to reduce gender disparities in the Hollywood film industry by creating “films about women, for women, and made by women.”
