How many episodes are in “Ted Lasso” Season 3?
The upcoming third season of the sports comedy series begins airing on Wednesday
Fans of Apple TV+’s hit show ‘Ted Lasso’ will be excited to learn that the third season will be premiering on Wednesday, March 15.
It’s been almost two years since the final episode of season 2 ‘Inverting the Pyramid of Success’ aired in October 2021, a long wait for fans to finally find out what will happen next.
How many episodes will there be for season 3?
Season three of ‘Ted Lasso’ will have 12 episodes, the same number of episodes in season two. The first episode is called ‘Smells Like Mean Spirit’, a reference to the Nirvana song ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, and is written by Leann Bowen, who wrote for episode eight of season one and the second episode of season two.
Episode two is called ‘(I Don’t Want To Go To) Chelsea’ the same name as the Elvis Costello song from 1978. The episode is written by Sasha Garron, who also wrote episode 11 of season two.
The rest of the episodes of the season will air every Wednesday until May 31, when episode 12, the 34th and final episode of the series, airs.
Season three will be the last season of ‘Ted Lasso’
Season three will be the final season of ‘Ted Lasso’, with actor Jason Sudeikis, who plays the titular character, confirming in an interview with Deadline that the upcoming season is the end of the story.
“This is the end of this story that we wanted to tell, that we were hoping to tell, that we loved to tell,” Sudeikis said.
“The fact that folks will want more and are curious beyond more than what they don’t even know yet—that being Season 3—it’s flattering.
“Maybe by May 31, once all 12 episodes of the season [have been released], they’re like, ‘Man, you know what, we get it, we’re fine. We don’t need anymore, we got it.’ But until that time comes, I will appreciate the curiosity beyond what we’ve come up with so far.”

The new season will air on Apple TV+, with new episodes being released every Wednesday beginning on March 15. The new episodes will become available to stream on the platform beginning at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT.
