How much does Zendaya make for each ‘Euphoria’ episode?
The actress recently re-negotiated her contract for the hit show, making her one of the top earners in the business.
Zendaya is making her way to the top of the list of highest earners in television. The actress recently re-negotiated her contract with HBO for ‘Euphoria’, and she’s set to make $1 million per episode.
That figure also includes her work as executive producer on the show, a role she took up for Season 2. Since ‘Euphoria’ premiered in 2019, the actress has won multiple awards for her character Rue, including a Golden Globe Award in 2023, and two Emmys in 2020.
Zendaya joins the club of television’s highest earners
The news came in a recent report by Puck News, which revealed that Zendaya had re-negotiated her contract, setting her up to earn “close to” $1 million per episode.
The 26-year-old will join other actors who have earned $1 million or more per episode, a list that includes Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Aniston, James Gandolfini, and Harrison Ford. Grammer reportedly made $1.6 million per episode for the last two seasons of ‘Frasier’.
The news also makes Zendaya one of the highest-paid Black actresses per television episode. Angela Bassett was one of the last actresses to hold this honor after it was revealed she made $450,000 per episode for her work on the Fox drama ‘9-1-1′.
But despite the high number, she still isn’t the highest-paid actor on television right now. That honor goes to ‘Yellowstone’ actor Kevin Costner who reportedly makes $1.3 million per episode. ‘1923′, a ‘Yellowstone’ spinoff starring Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, sees each actor making $1 million per episode.
Zendaya’s ongoing success
Zendaya’s ‘Euphoria’ role is not her only successful role. The young actress has appeared in a number of high-performing franchises, such as the Marvel Cinematic Universe iteration of ‘Spider-Man’ where she plays Spider-Man’s (played by real-life boyfriend Tom Holland) love interest MJ, ‘Dune’ where she plays Chani, ‘Space Jam: A New Legacy’ where she voiced Lola Bunny, and more.
After winning two Emmys in 2020 for ‘Euphoria’, she became the younger person to ever win an Emmy for Best Actress in a Drama.
Her estimated net worth as of 2023 is reported to be $20 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth.
She once famously googled her own net worth during an old interview, surprised at the answer google gave her.
