Keanu Reeves is one of Hollywood’s most sought-after actors today. With a portfolio full of successful movies including the ‘John Wick’ franchise, the Canadian actor continues his success with the fourth ‘John Wick’ movie which was released internationally today.

The ‘John Wick’ franchise now has four movies and each has proven itself to be more successful than the last. The first ‘John Wick’ movie grossed just over $86 million at the international box office, the second landed $171 million and the third almost doubled that with $327.3 million.

The movies were incredibly successful, not only for Lionsgate, but for Reeves as well. According to Parade, the actor typically makes $15 upfront before back-end pays or box office grossing bonuses.

However, Reeves isn’t obsessed with the earnings he makes for his roles.

“Money is the last thing I think about, I could live on what I’ve already made for the next few centuries,” he told the Chicago Tribute in 2003.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reeves made somewhere between $1 to $2 million for the original ‘John Wick’ movie in 2014. According to First Curiosity, ‘John Wick: Chapter 2′, which was released in 2017, earned the actor between $2 and $2.5 million along with partial ownership of the film.

In ‘John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum’, it’s reported that Reeves was paid between $2 and $2.5 million again along with the box office bonuses. With the third film, the franchise has collected $584.3 million in total from box office earnings.

According to Fandomwire, Reeves’ salary for the fourth installment of the franchise has more than doubled from previous earnings. The actor was reported to take home a $15 million salary for his work in the film.

How much were other actors paid?

For ‘John Wick: Chapter 4′ it’s reported that Ian McShane, who plays Winston will receive a $700,000 salary for his role. While late actor Lance Reddick, who played Charon is reported to have taken home only $500,000.

Singer and actor Rina Sawayama, who plays Akira in ‘John Wick: Chapter 4,’ allegedly made $400,000 which made her the highest-paid female actor in the movie. This will also be Sawayama’s first mainstream acting role and first film role.
