Is Jamie Foxx in rehab following an unknown medical condition?
The actor has reportedly been in a rehab facility since April.
Jamie Foxx is reportedly receiving treatment at a Chicago-based physical rehabilitation center — and has been for weeks.
The Hollywood actor was unexpectedly hospitalized April 12 due to an unknown medical emergency.
The Foxx family visited the renowned medical center on both Saturday and Sunday, as per TMZ.
What is Foxx being treated for?
Why Foxx was hospitalized is still unclear. The family could be keeping it under wraps, as Corinne Foxx pointed out last week, or as per other previous reports, doctors are still getting to the bottom of it.
Notably, the Chicago facility where Foxx is allegedly being treated specializes in stroke treatment, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and cancer rehabilitation.
What fans do know is that Foxx’s condition is mysterious.
The publication reported that the 55-year-old actor has been rehabilitating at the medical center since April, after his hospitalization in Atlanta.
Foxx was in Atlanta at the time filming his upcoming movie ‘Back in Action’ starring Cameron Diaz — who came out of retirement to star in the film.
The social media story
After her father’s original hospitalization in April, Foxx’s daughter Corinne Foxx posted a social media update to let fans know her father was “recovering” from his unknown “medical condition”.
After three weeks of silence, Foxx himself took to Instagram to thank fans for their support.
“Appreciate all the love!!! Feeling blessed,” the star wrote.
In early May, Corinne Foxx posted another update and scoffed at the media for reporting her father was in the hospital.
“Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corinne Foxx wrote in an Instagram story. “My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
