Sources revealed to US Weekly have denied recent rumours that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet are expecting a baby together.
This month, rumours have circulated that Kylie Jenner is expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Hollywood actor Timothée Chalamet. However, such claims appear to be wide of the mark.
Couple not pregnant, in long-distance relationship
Sources have confirmed to US Weekly that Jenner, who has two children with former partner Travis Scott, is not pregnant. The insiders also noted that Jenner and Chalamet’s relationship is currently long distance: she is in California, while he is busy shooting A Complete Unknown, a biopic about Bob Dylan, in New York City and New Jersey.
“Kylie and Timothée have been keeping in touch while he’s been in filming and are still together,” a source told the celebrity-gossip magazine.
Pair staying out of the media glare
Jenner and Chalamet have not been seen together in public since January - and reports indicated last month that the couple have decided to keep a low profile amid intense media coverage of their relationship. A source revealed to the Daily Mail that Chalamet did not enjoy the scrutiny that their appearance together at this year’s Golden Globes attracted - particularly their well-documented kiss.
“Timothée didn’t like all the attention he got with Kylie during the Golden Globes and their kiss took away from the reason he was there,” the source said. “His career is taking off and he wants to protect it and let it thrive based on his talent - not who he is or isn’t dating. He also wants to protect his relationship with Kylie.”
Jenner and Chalamet’s relationship: a timeline
Rumours of romance between Jenner and Chalamet first surfaced after they were spotted at Paris Fashion Week in January 2023, following her split from Scott. Speculation then grew in April last year, after Jenner’s car was spotted arriving at Timothée’s mansion in California.
On another occasion, the actor was seen in Jenner’s truck after she attended an art exhibition in Santa Monica, according to TMZ. In early June 2023, Page Six published photographs of the pair with their respective sisters at a barbecue.
It was not until early September that they stepped out in public together for the first time, attending a Beyoncé concert at which they were snapped sharing a kiss. Later that month, they were alongside one another in the stands at Flushing Meadows, to watch the men’s singles final at the US Open tennis tournament.
And in November, after Chalamet hosted the NBC comedy sketch show Saturday Night Live, Jenner was seen attending the programme’s after party. She was then by his side for the 2024 Golden Globes, where he was nominated for best actor honours for his portrayal of the titular character in the movie Wonka.
