Is Taylor Swift still wearing her Joe Alwyn ‘J’ necklace?
The singer was spotted leaving dinner Monday night with a mysterious necklace on.
Taylor Swift has made her first public spotting since reports of her breakup with Joe Alwyn have begun to circulate. The ‘Lavender Haze’ singer was spotted leaving an Italian restaurant in New York City Monday Night.
Reports of Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn calling it quits started on Saturday, April 8. Although Swift and Alwyn have yet to comment officially, numerous outlets have since confirmed the split.
However, many devoted Swift fans aren’t completely convinced the two called it quits and are waiting patiently for the pop singer to confirm the news herself. Last night’s Swift spotting only added to the confusion, as many fans were quick to point out the singer’s necklace.
The ‘J’ Necklace
Throughout Swift and Alwyn’s relationship, the ‘Lavender Haze’ singer was frequently spotted wearing a Silver Tiffany necklace with the ‘J’ initial on it, a nod to Joe’s first initial. In recent photos and videos of Swift since the breakup reports, she is wearing a necklace but fans are divided as to if it’s the ‘J’ necklace.
Swift appears to be wearing a silver necklace with a round pendant, but candid shots of the star don’t get close enough to see the details of the necklace. Some fans believe it is in fact the infamous ‘J’ necklace, while others think the thickness of the pendant and chain do not match.
What is Cornelia Street?
Fans of Swift were also intrigued by the pop star’s choice of dining. The restaurant she was spotted leaving, Via Carota is only a 4-minute walk away from the apartment building she used to share with Joe Alwyn.
The pop star rented the apartment for a few months between 2016 and 2017, while she was renovating her Tribeca apartment. Swift and Alwyn dated since the fall of 2016, so it’s believed that the two shared time there.
The property is also the subject of a Swift song off of her 2019 album ‘Lover.’ The lyrics describe the early stages of a relationship blossoming in the New York City apartment.
