Jamie Foxx’s daughter says he’s been out of hospital for weeks
Corinne Foxx posted a health update regarding her father on Friday, one that seems to go against recent reports.
Jamie Foxx’s daughter has tried to silence reports about her father on the internet by stating on Friday that he’s been out of hospital for weeks.
“Update from the family: Sad to see how the media runs wild,” Corinne Foxx wrote on her Instagram Stories on Friday.
“My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating. In fact, he was playing pickleball yesterday! Thanks for everyone’s prayers and support!”
Corinne didn’t include any new pictures of her dad, but she did add: “We have an exciting announcement coming next week too!”.
Corinne’s message comes after speculation over Jamie’s health
Her message comes on the heels of reports this week saying that Foxx’s family are “hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.”
“Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving,” an insider is said to have told Radar Online, “while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK.”
Another source told People: “Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now. [Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be okay before allowing him to leave the hospital.”
Foxx’s hospitalization remains somewhat of a mystery since news of his medical emergency broke on April 12.
“We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Corinne wrote on Instagram.
“Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
What caused the medical emergency has not yet been revealed.
At the time, Foxx was in Atlanta filming the action comedy ‘Back In Action’ alongside Cameron Diaz. Production on the film continued amid Foxx’s absence, and has reportedly wrapped up with stunt doubles and body doubles used in Foxx’s place.
Corinne and Jamie are also hosts of the Fox game show ‘Beat Shazam’, though Nick Cannon and Kelly Osbourne are filling in for them.
