Jamie Foxx’s family ‘hoping for the best’ as hospital stay continues
The Foxx family is “hoping for the best” but “preparing for the worst”.
The Foxx family is staying optimistic while they pragmatically take steps to deal with 55-year-ol Jamie Foxx’s medical emergency.
The actor was rushed to hospital on April 12 for an undisclosed medical condition, and has remained there since. Though nothing has been revealed so far as to what is wrong with Foxx, family and friends of the star have provided the public sporadic updates throughout his recovery.
Foxx was in the midst of filming his latest film, ‘Back in Action’, with fellow star Cameron Diaz - who had come out of retirement to make the movie with her old friend - when he suffered the medical episode.
How is Jamie Foxx doing?
The most recent update sheds light on his family as they gather around their father and husband.
A source close to the family told Radar Online that the Foxx family are “hoping for the best and preparing for the worst”.
“Jamie’s people are saying he’s doing OK and improving,” the insider said, “while doctors try to get to the bottom of his problems — but he wouldn’t be in a hospital this long if he was anything close to OK.”
Meanwhile, another source told People, “Jamie is stable and not in a life-threatening situation now. [Doctors] are doing more tests and want to be completely sure that he will be okay before allowing him to leave the hospital.”
Corinne Foxx released an intriguing video
Corinne Foxx, Jamie Foxx’s daughter, posted a video on Instagram on May 9 that hints her father might be doing better.
The video reveals her showing her father how to use a computer program.
“First he’s learning how to sync his phone with his #IntelEvo laptop, next thing you know he’ll be editing photos all by himself,” Corinne Foxx wrote in the caption. “Baby steps, Jamie Foxx. Baby steps. #ProudDaughter.”
The post is clearly an advertisement, but fans have been wondering if it is meant to be a sort of update on Foxx’s health.
“Could his status be in her message? Baby steps. Prayers,” one person commented, while another replied, “That’s the first thing came to my mind”. A third chimed in, adding, “I was thinking the same thing”.
“I definitely believe so,” said another person.
“She is saying ‘baby steps’,” someone else said. “She’s trying to tell us that he should be okay.”
It was also Corinne who posted the first family update following Foxx’s emergency. The actor’s daughter posted to Instagram that her father “experienced a medical complication” the day before, and is already on his way to recovery.”
