Jeff Bridges is very proud of his movie ‘The Big Lebowski’, and is seriously considering making a sequel.

The film also stars John Goodman, Julianne Moore, Steve Buscemi, John Turturro, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ben Gazzara, and Sam Elliot.

The movie is celebrating its 25th anniversary, and the 73-year-old actor is keen to reprise his role as Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski.

Not to be confused with the ‘Big Lebowski’.

Yes he certainly would

“That movie, I’m so proud to be a part of that movie. What a good one,” the Oscar-winning actor told people. “When you hear ‘Lebowski’ was 25 years ago, I say, ‘Come on, man. I can’t believe that.’ It feels like it was maybe five years ago, but 25? I can’t believe it.”

If the brothers were involved, I certainly would,” he added.

Bridges is talking about the infamous Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan Coen, who wrote, directed, and produced the original film.

“The brothers, they’re mysterious and full of surprises,” Bridges continued. “You don’t know what they’re going to do, so since they’re surprising, I don’t think they’ll make a sequel. But like I say, they’re surprising, so maybe they’ll surprise me and make a sequel.”

“Movies are kind of like your children — they put it all in perspective,” Bridges mused. “They let you know how fast it’s going, because before you know it you’ve got a six-month-old, and then you turn around and she’s 16. Movies are kind of like that.”

What is ‘The Big Lebowski’ about?

‘The Big Lebowski’ is a comedy crime movie that chronicles the story of a stolen area rug.

“It really ties a room together, man,” as per the famous line from the movie.

Bridges plays Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski, who suffers a case of mistaken identity — he is ambushed in his (modest) home by thugs who misassume him for another, much more wealthy, Lebowski. The thugs work for Jackie Treehorn, to whom the big Lebowski owes a substantial amount of money.
