Amid separation rumors, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are looking to sell the house they bought after getting married.
Speculation over the possible separation of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck reached new heights following reports that the couple is looking to sell the Beverly Hills mansion they bought after their wedding in 2022. Multiple sources told gossip outlet TMZ that JLo and Ben have enlisted real estate agent Santiago Arana of The Agency to sell the property, which they purchased a little over a year ago for just over $60 million.
The couple had spent nearly two years searching for a home together, looking at over 80 properties before settling on this mansion. According to reports, Arana has been showing the house for about two weeks, with the couple seeking around $65 million.
Reports indicate that the couple are living separately. The Bronx Diva is actively house-hunting, while the actor has moved into a rental home in Brentwood.
The relationship between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck
The couple met while filming “Gigli” in the 2000s and got engaged in November 2002. They called off their wedding just days before the event and separated in January 2004.
In the Amazon Prime documentary “The Greatest Love Story Never Told,” they discussed the first phase of their romance. “Ben and I broke up three days before our wedding,” J.Lo recalls. “We had planned a big wedding and three days before, we just fell apart under the pressure,” she adds.
Affleck mentioned that the reason behind their breakup was “the enormous amount of scrutiny” surrounding their private lives.
In May 2021, Affleck and Lopez reunited. In April 2022, Lopez announced their second engagement, and they married on Saturday, July 16, 2022, in a Las Vegas wedding, followed by a three-day ceremony in August of the same year.
