In a new Instagram post, Jennifer Lopez showed off the complementary tattoos that she and her husband, Ben Affleck, got in honor of their first Valentine’s Day together as husband and wife.

Lopez’s tattoo is an infinity symbol with an arrow on her rib cage with “Jennifer” and “Ben” outlining the symbol, while Affleck’s is two arrows crossed over each other with the initials “J” and “B.”

“Commitment ♾️ Happy Valentine’s Day my love 🤍” Lopez captioned the post, while also hinting that more details about the tattoos would be revealed in her newsletter On the JLo.

The post also contained romantic photos of the couple throughout the years.

A new tattoo for Affleck

Affleck is no stranger to the art of tattooing, and he famously has a massive phoenix tattoo on his back, which Lopez has admitted she “hates.”

“It’s awful,” she told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live. “I would tell him that! Like, what are you doing? It has too many colors. His tattoos always had too many colors. They shouldn’t be so colorful, you know what I mean? They should be cooler.”

When Affleck was photographed at the beach with the tattoo, the actor lied and said it was fake in an interview with Mario Lopez in 2016.

He said he regretted lying about the tattoo, admitting he loved it.

“It’s meaningful to me, I like it,” he said on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2019. “I love my tattoo. I’m very happy with it. Luckily, I’m the one who has it.”

Two weddings to celebrate their love for one another

Lopez and Affleck got married in 2022, with two weddings to celebrate their relationship. The first was an intimate ceremony at a Las Vegas wedding chapel in July, with only four other couples in attendance.

“Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world,” Lopez wrote in a post from On the Jlo. “All of us wanting the same thing— for the world to recognize us as partners and to declare our love to the world through the ancient and nearly universal symbol of marriage.

Their second wedding was held at their Georgia home in August, surrounded by loved ones, including all five of their children from previous marriages.

Stars in attendance included Matt Damon, Kevin Smith, Jason Mewes, and others.
