Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck update: Affleck moves things out of shared mansion
It has been reported that Ben Affleck has moved his belongings out of the Beverly Hills house that he and Jennifer Lopez bought last year.
Speculation that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are heading for divorce has been fuelled by claims that Affleck has moved his belongings out of the mansion they bought together a little over a year ago.
A source close to the couple has told People magazine that the Oscar-winning actor and filmmaker removed his things from the couple’s Beverly Hills home before Lopez returned from her recent trip to Europe.
Affleck now living in separate LA pad
Last month, it was reported that the pair are now living separately, with Affleck renting a house in Brentwood, another upmarket suburb of Los Angeles.
“Ben continues to live at the Brentwood rental,” the insider told People this week, with another source revealing: “He’s been there for about two months now. He seems okay. He’s been at his office every day and seems focused on work. He’s also spending time with his kids.”
Affleck and JLo trying to be “amicable”
Rumours of problems in Lopez and Affleck’s marriage have grown in recent weeks, having first surfaced when they were not seen together in public for over a month.
This week, a source told ET that Lopez and Affleck are “trying to be as amicable as possible” despite the seemingly parlous state of their relationship. “They still want the best for everyone involved, including their kids, the rest of their families, and shared friends,” the insider said.
Lopez, an actor and twice Grammy-nominated singer, shares two children with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Affleck has three children from his marriage to former wife Jennifer Garner.
Reports that Affleck has moved his belongings out of their home come after TMZ revealed that he and Lopez are now looking to sell the property, which they bought last year for around $60 million.
The couple purchased the mansion after more than two years of house-hunting, having been shown more than 80 options. According to TMZ’s report, they have placed a $65 million asking price on the home.
